bhensonb (2737), Woodland, California, USA Apr 7, 2007 On tap at Applebee’s in Woodland. Presented as Applebee’s Pale Ale (which used to be AB Pacific Ridge Pale Ale). Light malty aroma. Coppery color with a white head that laces a little. Light citrusy hop start which is almost wholly overwhelmed by medium malt. It is relatively dry, but he hoppy bitterness is rather light in the malty finish. Sledge Jr (2702), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 26, 2006 On tap at the Blarney Stone Bar & Grill in SD. The owner stated that this was brewed for them (yeah, right) by Pacific Coast Brewing. My guess is that this is the same basic pale ale recipe made for restaurants/bars. Deep golden color with a thin white head. Something of a popcorn butter aroma. Flavor is a big disappointment. Malty bitter finish is fairly quick. Nice beer, but nothing special. frankR (143), Davis, California, USA Jul 3, 2004 On tap at Applebee’s. Dark broze colored liquid, nose of pale hops, a hint of caramel malt and alcohol. Some nice flowery hops present in the flavor. Not a bad impression of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Watery body is the beers biggest weakness. joet (1621), Fulton, California, USA Jul 12, 2001 Bready, yeasty nose, nice round hops on a less than dry light body. Easy summer drinking with some lingering bitterness. A light snack of a beer.
