On draught at the taproom...This has an unfiltered look: hazy yellow-gold color that glows in the glass...unusual...head very light but with lingering lace. Aroma is slightly sweet with a spicy herbal-hop quality. This spicy hop countenance defines the top-end of the flavor spectrum. Light malt sweetness supplies secondary support and lingers throughout the tapered finish. Carbonation is moderate and in spirit with spritely demeanor of this brew. However, the flavors aren’t quite all in harmony here...Body is a bit thin, even though this is clearly intended to be a thirst-quencher. Overall, this is not a classic pilsener, but certainly captures the spicy Saaz nip successfully. What this brew lacks in refinement it compensates for somewhat with a degree of rustic charm...
