Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 24, 2008 A lightly hazed gold lager with a thin white head. A sweet corn aroma with perfumey notes and cardboard. In mouth, a lihtly sweet maple malt, very thin and watery. Boring. Trade from Capflu. DuffMan (1962), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 11, 2007 Hazy lemon yellow, soapy head that quickly collapses and disappears. Faintly stinky dishrag aroma. Sweet grainy palate, slightly metallic, faintly alcoholic. Not UNdrinkable, but not one I would chose out of the bizmillion cheap pale lagers available. CapFlu (3340), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Nov 21, 2006 (Can) Purchased at the BC Liquor Store at Fort Street, Victoria. "Japan Import Quality". This beer pours a thin, white frothy head with a light golden body. Nose of mild corn malt and soda water. Flavours of water corn malt with some dry peppery undertones makes this beer not overly offensive. Its exactly what it states it is - nothing more or less. Bland might be a good word for it. tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 22, 2005 Creamed corn and cabbage in the sweet aroma along with some herbal notes. Clear golden body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled, white head that recedes to a partial cover with some light lacing. Sweet flavour with some light bitterness and a dishwater like aftertaste that is wholly unappealing. Light body with very aggressive, pointy, sharp carbonation. Unable to stomach more than a few sips of this one. Can sampled in the Maple Leaf Lounge at Vancouver Airport. jerc (3217), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 4, 2005 Can. Pale golden yellow with a good sized white head that diminishes. Very grainy aroma. Flavour is mild and muted. Oddly sweet before a drying bitterness pokes through. Corn-fruity sweetness is very macro. Flavour devoles as it warms, brining out less pleasant qualities. Average palate. Meh.
