luttonm (53), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 26, 2008 Pint from a dive in Hastings, Vancouver, BC. About the lightest looking and tasting beer I’ve ever had. clear gold, no head Crisp, malty, lagerish, sour-metallic taste. extremely light bodied. golubeer (51), Auckland, New Zealand Oct 6, 2007 Can poured into glass. Head slowly fades away. Lacks body and flavour. Pours a nice golden colour with white head. pintbypint (881), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Oct 6, 2007 355ml can. Gold colour with some sort of chill haze (?). Pours with an immense white head which fades to a light surface foam quickly. Minimal lacing. Aroma is corny sweet and perfumey with a little sulphur and grass. Weak grain/corn flavour profile with some noticable grass hop flavour. Light body, watery weak and fizzy. Not Pilsner, not very good at any rate. pootzboy (871), Calgary/ Kitchener, Alberta, Canada Jul 25, 2007 Part of a stash my Cousin from BC brought with him for a visit. Obviously he shops the bargain brands.
Looks like a brown-gold in the glass...weak rocky heading ,crystal clarity.
Grain husks and cider in the nose...not offensive but not pleasant.Suspect malt extracts or dextrin adjuncts.
Weal malt spine, frail body, vapid front side, some malts, brewer’s caramel and weak hops detected in the fast finish...no off tastes but certainly nothing here to recommend it. Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Feb 13, 2007 Can. Yellow lager with big collapsing big bubbled head. A sweet perfumey aroma, more on the corn side with light sulfur notes. In mouth, a light malt with no bitterness, and some weird astringence developping. Not good. Can from the Flu.
