On tap at Duffy's Tavern in Monterey under the name Duffy's Pale Ale. Light amber pour. Frothy, white head that hangs around. Nose is hoppy over a layer of grain. Taste is nice hoppy bitterness. Undertones of sweet malt. Fairly thin brew. Decent. I wouldn't turn it down if someone gave me one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light copper color with aroma of clean hops. A light pale ale taste, that dissipates quickly. No real bitter aftertaste a clean crisp pale ale that is simple and not complex

Draft @ LAX. Pours a golden yellow with a white head that came to a ring quickly. Smell is light earthiness, citrus (lemon/orange peel) and some sugary maltiness. Taste is light hops that is midly bitter and a balancing maltiness. Overall, this one had nothing memorable about it and was an average pale ale. Was only mildly refreshing.

Draught, SFO Int departures. So, is this retired or not? On draught at the Il Fornaio bar/coffee shop - Citrusy and aromatic, with a creamy lemon cheesecake base flavour. Short finish, medium dry and pleasant.

Had this in San Diego rather recently at the 4.0 Deli next to State. It had to have been this, unless AB makes another contract brew pale ale. Pours a amber color with a nice head. Aroma is light bread and caramel with little hops. Flavor is almost the same. Mild malt sweetness balanced by light hop bitterness. Whatever. It works, but is run of the mill. Good for AB

Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Faint malty bready aroma. Faint sweet malty taste with a sweet finish.

It’s back. On tap this date at the Bayside Bar associated with the Bayside Holiday Inn in San Diego. Price was right. Free with a bar ticket. Staff had no idea who was brewing the ale. Light, uncertain, hop aroma. Amber color with a white head. Medium bodied; mildly carbonated. It has malty sweetness well balanced by hop bitter. All the elements are hard to pin down, but it is really well put together. The finish is not quite dry, and the bitter is mediumly strong and persisting. Quite good. Very like an English bitter.
