3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
It’s back. On tap this date at the Bayside Bar associated with the Bayside Holiday Inn in San Diego. Price was right. Free with a bar ticket. Staff had no idea who was brewing the ale. Light, uncertain, hop aroma. Amber color with a white head. Medium bodied; mildly carbonated. It has malty sweetness well balanced by hop bitter. All the elements are hard to pin down, but it is really well put together. The finish is not quite dry, and the bitter is mediumly strong and persisting. Quite good. Very like an English bitter.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had this in San Diego rather recently at the 4.0 Deli next to State. It had to have been this, unless AB makes another contract brew pale ale. Pours a amber color with a nice head. Aroma is light bread and caramel with little hops. Flavor is almost the same. Mild malt sweetness balanced by light hop bitterness. Whatever. It works, but is run of the mill. Good for AB

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2003 poured a nice amber color..it was a maltier pale than many but it still had some nice hop balancing and was a very decent and drinkable pale ale for being a anheuser-Busch product..a fact i did not know at the time..

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Malty pale ale, almost enough to be an amber. Has a subtle citric hop balance that comes out more with food.

I have had this on a number of occations. I just never knew it. A little bit of research got me the answer. The first time it was labeled Riverview Pale. Next it was Roadhouse Pale, then Dakota Pale, then Corvette Pale. Roadhouse and Dakota were touting it as being Redhook, who produces this beer on the west coast.
Yellowy with a decent head. Aromas of citrus and some malts. Flavors were more citrus. A little watered down, but not horrible.
