Copper color with a thin head. Aroma of toasty caramel malt with some floral funky NW hops. A tad grainy, toasted malt, and floral/bitter hops in the flavor. Finishes a bit funky. A sessionable, but albeit average brew.

Mild amber color, a nice floral ESBesque bitterness. A souped up version of Redhook’s ESB, similar flavor profile, but with more bitterness. Quite enjoyable. Great rainy day brew.

Tap at Barcade. ABV was listed at 7.5% on the beer I had, and it was definitely more than 5.0% so I’m not sure if it’s a recipe tweak or what, but here goes anyway. Hazy deep ruby-amber beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is very malty with lots of sweet caramel and toffee notes. Slightly chewy on the palate as well. There is enough leafy hop character to restrain the sweetness a bit, but it still tends toward the cloying end of the scale. Light orange marmalade fruitiness along with a touch of cascadey type US hops. It’s an okay brew, but nothing really special either.

Tap: Amber color, light head and lacing. Nose of light pine and spruce, clean hop and medicinal notes. Lots of c hops. Full body, nice esb, balanced and rich with the right finish. Tangy!

This was a killer ESB, one of the better things I have tried today. Fuller bodied, and a bit more malty for the style, but has some great bitter hoppy bites in the aftertaste. Very crisp, even though it is quite malty, has a very clean flavor.

Clear amber-copper with a tan head. Citrus and earthy hops with some caramel. Fruity, earthy, citurs flavor. Crisp palate medium body. the hop choices are odd making it seem more like a lager but I still enhjoyed it.
