Nitro. Black, with light brown head. Nice chocolatey notes. Some fudginess fading to a predictably watery finish. Your basic stout.

Draft at the Pac Rim tasting room. Black. Thin orange-y tan head. Huge coffee nose. Thick and creamy on the attack. Endless waves of coffee on the mid-palate. Decent dark chocolate flavors emerge and stick around for a solid little finish.

Tap at brewery. Black with dark brown head - indication of a good stout? Oh, yeah. There is coffee and something smoky going on in this beer, but at the same time not overpowering. A great stout.

Tap: Black, light head and lacing. Nose of fresh bright and ripe roast, sweet malt and chocolate coffee notes. The flavor is smooth and malty, nice balanced mouthfeel and body. Quite tasty I thought.

Dark black, with just a hint of cherry in the center, which is kind of fitting cause that is kind of how it tasted, some rich fruitiness, and some moderate coffee roastiness, just a bit to acidic, creamy but somewhat tame. Overall not too bad.

Dark brown body with a good amount of red light appearing at the bottom of the glass. Somewhat of a fizzy mouthfeel, with a decent oak wood and coffee flavor. Overall it’s empty all over the tongue with a cola like body but lacking the sweetness. Butter defects also noted. I was not impressed.

Opaque black with a dense mocha head. Roasted malt, choco-coffee aroma. A Starbucks stout if there ever was one. The falavor is also dominated by the roasted malts. Bitterness seems to come from the roasted malts rather than the hops. Medium dry and roasy palate. Enjoyable if a bit one-dimensional.

Creamy tan head atop black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, strong coffee, some chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, espresso, some chocolate. Creamy, medium-full body. Imbalance from too much coffee.
