1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 GregClow (2645) - Toronto, - MAY 9, 2008
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, jerc & tupalev - my bottle, courtesy of pubstyle. Orange-amber colour with a thin head. Faint skunkiness in the aroma, a bit grassy with faint malt. Thin body. Flavour starts completely dead - like, there’s seriously nothing there - but then some stale malt and skunk notes come through in the middle and finish. Wow, this is quite unpleasant.

Sampled @ Medicine Hat Beerfest 2011. Medium clear amber brown. Aroma is stinky caramel, like compost kind of. WTF? Flavour is grainy caramel with a harsh vegetal note that cannot be ignored. Something has gone wrong here.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Powertrip (756) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 28, 2011
Single bottle from a 6-pack mixer purchased in Creston, BC on 07/27/2011. Colour: Dark gold with medium-low head. Nose: Powerful malt and hop blast. The pureness and freshness of the ingredients really show the organic nature of this one. Taste: Light sweet, medium-light bitter, light sour. The spring water comes on strong. Lot’s of toasty-bitter malt and a soft subdued caramel finish.

Aroma offers grainy cereal malt with underlying caramel sweetness. Clear reddish brown body is topped by a low white head that receded quickly to a slight ring. Flavour is quite watery with plenty of cereal malt and a vegetal, weedy bitterness that is quite unpleasant and lingering. Watery in texture with fair carbonation that doesn little to enliven the palate. Half pint glass. Fridge temperature. Bottle from a friend at a party. On the plus side, he happily drank the other five...
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 pintbypint (1473) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 7, 2010
330ml brown bottle. Pours orangey amber. Good looking foamy white head with decent retention. Aroma has caramel malt and slight fruitiness, also most metallic hops. Flavour is similar with a caramel base, some metallic hops. Light bitterness. Average mouthfeel and carbonation.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 patricks110 (810) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 19, 2010
Not a good beer overall. Skunky and mild malt aroma. Sweet malts and light caramel taste is very weak and not too tasty. Will not have this beer again.

***review from Mid 2008***
No where near the quality of the Organic Lager...
Poured out a nice and attractive mid range amber beer with ample white head and some decent lacing. Too bad that is all this beer has going for it. The aroma is sweet with caramel, corn and not much else. Comes across, especially early on, as wrong smelling with slight chemical notes and other somewhat offending aromas. The taste is ok when warmer but still holds on to some of the flavors that are quite upfront early on: strong metallic tastes that dominate even the decent caramel malt, and there is also notable green tasting hops. This kind of tastes like the rubber side of a standard lager bottle cap. Mouth feel is definitely harsh and unwelcoming. Finishes with noticeable bitter length. Save your money for something else.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cirrhosis (886) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 12, 2009
Clear orangey brown body with a very nice creamy off white cap. Mild sour nutty aroma, and I swear I’m smelling peach flavored yogurt. Smell is rather interesting I kind of like it. Wow highly metallic taste on the first sip, taste like a bloody nose. Taste is fairly thin, crisp hops (melon) with biscuity earthy malts. Flavour turns soapy some time. Metallic flavour starts to fade when beer hits room temp and taste sweet. It’s a drinkable beer that’s not overly offensive.
