Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, jerc & tupalev - my bottle, courtesy of pubstyle. Orange-amber colour with a thin head. Faint skunkiness in the aroma, a bit grassy with faint malt. Thin body. Flavour starts completely dead - like, there’s seriously nothing there - but then some stale malt and skunk notes come through in the middle and finish. Wow, this is quite unpleasant.

***review from Mid 2008***

No where near the quality of the Organic Lager...
Poured out a nice and attractive mid range amber beer with ample white head and some decent lacing. Too bad that is all this beer has going for it. The aroma is sweet with caramel, corn and not much else. Comes across, especially early on, as wrong smelling with slight chemical notes and other somewhat offending aromas. The taste is ok when warmer but still holds on to some of the flavors that are quite upfront early on: strong metallic tastes that dominate even the decent caramel malt, and there is also notable green tasting hops. This kind of tastes like the rubber side of a standard lager bottle cap. Mouth feel is definitely harsh and unwelcoming. Finishes with noticeable bitter length. Save your money for something else.

Clear orangey brown body with a very nice creamy off white cap. Mild sour nutty aroma, and I swear I’m smelling peach flavored yogurt. Smell is rather interesting I kind of like it. Wow highly metallic taste on the first sip, taste like a bloody nose. Taste is fairly thin, crisp hops (melon) with biscuity earthy malts. Flavour turns soapy some time. Metallic flavour starts to fade when beer hits room temp and taste sweet. It’s a drinkable beer that’s not overly offensive.

bottled, bought in japan. amber enough, faintly nutty aroma, pretty bland - light caramel and no bitterness to speak of

Bottle shared with Jerc, Hogtown Harry, GregClow, and Blankboy, courtesy of Greg. Dark orange, small white head. Skunky aroma, some honey sweetness. Fruity taste, stale, skunk, and water. Awful.

Bottle (330ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & tupalev -- courtesy of GregClow. pours a clear orange-amber with a small diminishing bubbly off-white head. Aroma’s oily and/or resiny along with caramel malt and some light skunkyness. Watery flavour starts pretty much flavourless and then hits you with awfulness. What th’?! Harsh. Light to average bodied. Not good at all.

2008-05-01. Amber body with a modest off white head. Skunky green bottle grassy hops. Think watery flavour, muted grainy malts. Average to thin palate. Gives organic a bad name unfortunately. Bottle shared by GregClow

Bottle (341ml - green). Shared by GregClow with blankboy, jerc and tupalev. Clear amber, small head (3-). Grassy, pungent near-skunky aroma, honey sweetness. The taste though - harsh metal and stale weeds, long ugly finish. Average body, that harshness just grabs your tongue and holds it ransom - unpleasant to the extreme - I didn’t hate the aroma, but a few of the others just swore at the aroma.
