May long weekend at the lake, probably the nicest May long in memory. Not sure how this got in the fridge, probably left from last year. Grainy and harsh, on the poor end of shitty canned malt likra-- perfect after felling a bunch of trees and taking fourteen stitches to the arm for a chainsaw injury that could have been a he’ll of a lot worse!
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Powertrip (999) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 20, 2011
Single can purchased from low end liqour store just outside Kelowna, BC on 03/10/2011. Colour: Light brown with no head. Nose: alcholy, beeswax, sour grapes. Taste: medium-high sweet, medium sour, light bitter. Malty and traces of vanilla but mostly just yeasty stuff. Better then I thought but don’t overrate.
1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 Crit (3075) - New Westminster, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 21, 2008
Deep gold, fluffy stark white head.Very metallic, with an unpleasant bitterness due either to harsh alcohol or crappy hops
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 pootzboy (1451) - Hawgville, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 25, 2007
Another selection from the BC chunderfest..this one appears to be a malt liquor.
Light gold color with a decent cap...some actual lacing!
Aromas are a sourish smell and alcohol
Taste is about as expected boozy...but at least there was some maltiness although the hops are nonexistent in the flavor profile.
More cheap booze for the park bench or in this case the ferry bench.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 CapFlu (4012) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 1, 2006
(Can) I didn’t really mind this beer - I actually found the 6% version more offensive. This beer has a solid base of malt and some alcool... but I found it nicely cool! Also the head lasts forever... I’ll stop there!

Mmmm my fav beer, heehee. Stong, hearty, luv the strong taste. Eight 8 percent for 10.75, best stong beer i’ve ever had. Although it does have a stong aroma, u can sometimes smell it a day later... haha i luv it tho.
1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 walker (1) - Vancouver, CANADA - SEP 11, 2005 does not count
Actually quite smooth for a cheap strong beer. Surprisingly, I didn’t feel any harsh throat burning. Has a strong metallic taste to it, almost like copper. But who drinks this for the taste anyways. Buy it because its cheap and gets the job done boys. (8% * 8 cans = good time)

Swillfest ’05. Number two in the vertical. Slightly brighter appearance than the 6%. Thin white head. Peppery aroma over a bit of maltiness. Flavour is quite hot with a bit of lingering sweetness and soapiness.

Like 2 sticks of dynamite. Strong, explosive and destructive to the palate. Had some bronze to the colour with an ethanol aroma. Flavour was corny with some alcohol kick.

Swillfest ’05 The extra strong version of TNT. Light bronze colour. Slightly cidery, slightly alcoholic aroma. Firm alcohol flavour and candyish malts. Not what I look for, but at least it has some nuance.
