1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: FEB 27, 2004 Had a 12oz bottle today in Algodones, Baja Cal. with chiles rellenos. Didn't smell as bad as most of the USA mainstream beers. Tasted less disagreeable too. I think the Mexican beers are better than the BMC offerings. Not much of an endorcement there.

A average beer. However better than most Mexican beers. No head, classic golden coloured.

12 oz bottle. Nice label. Pale, not-quite yellow, clear, little fizzy head. Smells like corn. Struggling to find anything to say. Why should I make the effort? What good will it possibly do you, gentle reader, for me to make an enormous effort to find something meaninful to say about the nasty plasticoated tin flavors at the end and the watery body? Does Grupo Modelo care what I think? Well?

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
pure yellow with white head that is thin and goes quick. barely any aroma, grassy? grain flavor, on the raw side? can't really tell due to weak flavor, but I think that's the intent. went well with pizza

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Had one of these while enjoying my lunch at Chile Verde in Dublin. Anyone wanting great mexican in central Ohio need not look any further than this little best kept. Very faint
nose of a grassy field with a hint of wheaty perfume. The brew is a light bubbly golden straw. The average frothy white head is fully diminishing with no lacing. The neutral flavor only hints at hop spice. The body is light and watery and the finish feels crisp. Not my brew of choice but got the job done in this setting.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Falls right in line with the other Mexican pilsener type beers I have tried. Quite refreshing all the same but why bother?

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Good looking beer with typical Pilsner characteristics. Better than Corona, but heemer's got it right about there being better beer in Mexico. Still better than most U.S. macros.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Slightly darker than most macro lagers. Hasa little skunk and some hops. I think people enjoy this most when they have it in Mexico. Better than Corona, but not even close to the best Mexican lagers.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark yellow, slim head. Oily, citrus aroma. Grainy, bready flavor, slight hop presence. Kind of watery. Basically inoffensive in every way.
