Pacifico, a pilsener type beer, dates back to the beginning of 1900’s. Since 1985, Pacífico has been exported mainly to the West Coast of USA, where it has gained strong recognition.

A drinkable Mexican corn beer. Weak in flavor and aroma, corn is noticable in both, watery mouthfeel. Nothing overly offensive. Not the worst choice in crummy Mexican joints.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2004 Pours blond with a medium white head. Aroma is perfumy(literally). It’s flowery and sort of skunked with stale hops mixed into it. Taste is bland and watery and I can see this being refreshing and very drinkable in the heat. Overall a bit grainy and corn syrupy but really bland, though. Finish is bland as well. It sort of just goes away. Now if I could get the rest of the bottle to do the same.

Reminds me of Urquell--there’s that strong, carbonated lager taste, but not much else. Limes if you got’em.

Bottle at Las Casuela Terraza, Palm Springs. Butter yellow colour, with a small fluffy head. Initially very tasty: lemony, crisp and a nice, firm finish. But as the glass warms up, it suffers slightly - starting to taste like antiseptic, with associated tongue-numbing qualities. OK - reminded me a little of Efes.

Grupo Modelo has made a real winner with this one. Yeah right, this tastes like mexican water. But it is still better then corona

I’m not a big fan of Mexican beers but this one is definitely better than Tequiza, Tecate, Dos Equis and Corona. This was almost acceptable swill.

Rapid carbonation. White foamy head. Corny glueish nose. Light golden hue. Lacking in everything including flavor. I figured I should drink something Mexican, and I expected it to be almost this gross. Add a lime, and some salt and tequila and its pretty darn good. At least you cant taste the urine in this one...Happy Cinco de Mayo!

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2011 A rather typical and unimpressive pale lager. A definite drain pour. +++Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a really pale color with a small white head. The aroma is mildly sweet and skunky. Bland front flavor and a bland finish. Very little body.

This one falls somewhere between Corona and Dos Equis, but like Bohemia and Negra Modelo, leaves something to be desired in the flavor department... Add that lime that’s attached to the glass.
