1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Poured out of bottle into a pint glass. Almost no color in the pour, just the slightest yellow. A nice finger of white head formed but quickly dissipated to nothing.
No real beer smell. There is a mild smell of cleaning supply and cement.
Tastes like corn (w/o butter) and seltzer water.
Smooth feeling, low carbonation and goes down easy.
It had potential to at least look good until the head retreated into nothing. It does not taste like anything so it is not technically "undrinkable" but it really just tastes like water. Maybe fill a waterbottle up for a bike ride to keep hydrated. But as a beer it really fails.

Mexican lager since around 1900 (!), from the same brewery as the infamous Corona Extra. Thin, off-white head, colour a pure golden blonde, clear. Aroma of corn, honeyish malt, grass, iron, mineral water. Very neutral taste with a lot of carbon dioxide and minerals, on a popcorn-like basis, metallic, watery with almost no hop bitterness. And still I prefer this over Corona, it has just a little bit more body and I can imagine this quenches the thirst on a hot Mexican - or Californian - day.

Bottle. Golden color, white foam. Weak aroma, taste a little better, malt, light sweetness, some tones of pear and half hints at hops.

@Spanje, @Wine Palace Platja DÁro,

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, yellow, minimal white head, no lacing. Aroma of grain and yeast. Taste of grain, bitter, not great. Nothing special here, typical Mexican macro lager, good to refresh you during a hot summer day but that’s it.
