3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very dark, somewhat murky. The aroma is roasty and fudgey with almond notes. Really fudgey on the palate, with light nuttiness and chocolate. Slightly sweet towards the finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A deep dark gushing stout with a thick big bubbled moka head. A pleasant aroma of cherries and chocolate, with light coffee notes. In mouth, a nicely balanced stout, with bitter chocolate, a bit of soy, good roasted bitterness, medium bodied. A tad overcarbonated. Bottle from Piscator34, thanks Chris.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ Calgary Beer Fest. Pours clear black with a medium, frothy light tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and roast malt, leathery, prunes, and licorice notes. Flavor is malt dominant, light hops and bitterness, oats, dark fruits and a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to savvy1982. Pours with a black body and a tan head that fades rather quickly. Aromas of chocolate, nuts, grain, a bit of coffee. Not a whole lot, seems like a rather weak aroma. Flavors, again, I’m getting surprisingly little (and it is not like my palate is shot, the previous beers were an ESB and a small lager). Some graininess and bitterness. A bit of roasted malt and associated acidity. Some coffee. Some biscuity flavors. Lively bubbles. Kind of a bland stout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It was drinkable licorice, excells as a whwartzbier, but sourness and astringency in finish detracted from enjoyment. Worth having but not the best PWB by a longshot. Black with generous head, medium mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line:
A wealthy aroma of chocolate and vanilla maltiness delves into diplomatic roasted dryness and calculated citrusy hoppiness. A very drinkable and classy Oatmeal Stout from Paddock Wood whose aroma announced a heftier glass than the tongue was able to perceive.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A screen of foam sits atop the opaque black.
-Soy sweetness appears within the vanilla and cocoa.
-Carbonation is rather effervescent for the style, but helps drinkability.
-A wooden hop character accompanies the roasted malts in the finish.
Bottle; Thx Mike!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Black body, with a big foamy tan head. Musty malt aroma with muted hops and roast in the background. (6+) Moderate flavour of roast malt, decent amount of hoppy bitterness throughout. (6+) Average palate is a bit thin for a stout. Decent but unremarkable. 6/4/7/3/13

Courtesy of savvy1982. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of chocolate, roasted malt, sweet. Tastes of chocolate, roasty, some coffee hints, some sweetness. Nice, solid velvety mouthfeel.
