Pours a dark golden with a small white top. Aroma is grain with a small hop profile. Taste is a solid grainy lager, solid malts.

Intersting beer. Pours the color of apple juice. Minimal white head. Nice nose including aromas of strawberries, apples and wet hay. Not as much flavor on the palate. But a nice hoppy bite on the back end. Nice beer.

Hazy yellow colour with nice lacing. Aroma is lively hoppy, citrus. Taste is nicely balanced, with a creamy finish. Nice smooth coating palate. Nice for the style.

Clear bright golden yellow, thin white head. Grassy hoppy aroma. Light bitter hop taste, citrusy, spicy and floral. Dry bitter finish. A decent Bohemian Pil from the Prairies, who’da thunk it? Good job! LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Bubbly and yellow with a creamy white head. Faint smell of skunk, though there’s barely anything on the nose at all. More bitter than expected. Mild skunk on the finish. Fairly heavy carbonation. Mildly unpleasant aftertaste. I’ll revisit this one at some point, as the bottle I have might be slightly past it’s prime.

341ml bottle listed at 4.8%ABV on the bottle pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that leaves a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light grainy malts with some grassy hops. Taste is light malty sweetness with a lingering hop bitterness which is quite pleasing. Light body and decent carbonation. This is a pretty decent pilsner which was quite enjoyable.

This is probably my favourite Paddock Wood beer despite the fact that I generally don’t love the style. Pours a clear golden with a little fluffy head. Aroma is a of citrus, smells really sweet. The taste is quite sweet with almost the flavours of honey and lemon. For me, this is my go to lawnmower beer in the summer.

355mL bottle, BS sixer. Can’t believe I found one less than 17 months past its expiry date! Pours a nice pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is pretty good, faded Saaz hops, dry and dusty with some decent pils malts in the background. Flavour features Saaz upfront, met with some sweet malts and a mildly peppery finish. Feels light but not too carbonated, which I appreciated. If I could get this fresh I would prefer it to King Brewery’s Pilsener. Decent rendition of the Czech pils variety. I should get out to Saskatoon sometime.

Single bottle purchased from Zyn Liqour in Calgary, AB on 11/06/2011. Colour: Medium yellow with hints of green and low white head. Nose: Surprisinly flowery, accompanying pine needles, sweet malt. Taste: Medium sweet, medium-light bitter, medium sour. A sweet blast then settles into growing sour barley that acts astringent and long on the finish. Not as complex as I’d hoped but quite drinkable.
