Pours a very clean, deep brown color with an off-white/light tan head that fades down quickly. Aroma has a light estery nose, mild caramel and light toasted notes with a sweet overall finish. Flavor starts off with a strong estery sweetness with lot of fruity notes. A mild caramel presence comes up in the middle with a candy sweetness combined with some mild toasted and caramel malt notes. Body is modest with a smooth, slightly sugary texture to it. Overall not too bad of a dubbel. Flavors follow the style and I could see this aging very well with a much better even keeled flavored after a few years. Great brew!
