solid. another great beer from paddock wood. tastes great and goes down easy. if you are looking for a nice dark beer that goes well with dinner, this one fits the bill.

Poured from 355mL bottle. Black with tan head. Aroma of light toasted malt, very mild coffee, and some lactic sweetness. Flavour pretty weak. Light body.

Aroma is chocolate, mocha, roasty malts, caramel and toffee. Slight coffee notes aswell. Taste is roasty malts with some creaminess. Finoshes fairly flat with slightly watered down tastes. Body is a dark clear brown head that retains poorly.

Pours a non-descript cola brown with no head, light carbonation. Nose is heavily goaty, cocoa, light spent coffee grains, light barnyard. Thin mouthfeel with a papery and cardboard flavor, more goat and spoiled milk

Bottle 341mL, last one from the Big Box taster pack. Clear, dark brown pour with a foamy, tan head. Aroma is dark roast malts, chocolate, and almonds. Taste is full-bodied, smooth, and loaded with toasted malt character. Lingering bitterness, mild chalkiness.

Black, large tan head, good lacing. Aroma is lightly roasty, very light chocolate, moderate sweetness. Flavour is of more chocolate then the aroma, roast picks up as well, moderate bitterness. Bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes bitter, roasty.

Pours a clear dark brown with a big creamy head that dissapears quickly and leaves a small brown ring with some lace. Aroma is roast malts, coffee and caramel. Taste is a sweet caramel, coffee and some chocolate. Finish is a bit watery and flat with the presence of some euro hops.
