Rating #959 - February 8, 2014, $19.10 for a 6bottle taster of Sherbrooke’s exclusive brews. 9 Pour is pretty standard, hazy golden orange with a bubbly white head. Aroma is orange, lemon citrus sweetness. Mouthfeel is crisp, medium-heavy alcohol character, medium carbonation. Taste is crisp but a bit of a mess for a tripel. Gets a grainy malty note that really overarches the yeast character. Citrus and yeast notes present on the palate as well, but just a little all over the place for me.

probstblueribbon (2737) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2013
355 mL bottle from Sherbrooke LC, served cold in a tulip glass. Dirty, cloudy amber with a thin white head. Smells like a Lambic, with pretty decent barnyard and rubber and bitter herbs, a sweetness, lightly woodsy, Orval character...on purpose? Medium plus body with slightly relaxed effervescence. Much less wild than the nose, takes on a supporting role for sherry-oxidation and lots of sweet biscuit and honey, alcohol makes its presence known, quite the interesting series of defects; lightly sweet with minimal bitterness and a sherry-like, lightly boozy finish. WTF? I didn’t mind this, oddly enough.

355 ml bottle shared with Tom and chums. Pours a sediment-filled brown-orange with a short lived white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt, honey. Flavor is honey, caramel, candied sugar, fruits. Finish is citrusy, buttery, soapy. Lingering honey and melon. Light body, weak to average carbonation. Not a great tripel...

andrewturba (920) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 22, 2013
Pours a mostly clear golden-amber colour with a small white spotty cover and a decent ring around the glass leaving very little lace. Aromas are fruity and floral mostly, booze, light spice and yeast. Flavours of a lot of booze up front, spice, fruit, somewhat sweet, yeast. Alcohol is hot which is unacceptable here.

Pours a hazy golden color with a small white fizzy head. Aroma of fruity esthers, some spice & alcohol. Taste is some fruity sweetness, fruit and too much alcohol. Mouthfeel has too much of a hot alcohol taste and little creaminess.

Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white ring. Aroma is light bready malts and a dry yeast. Taste is dry yeast with bready malts. Mouthfeel is thin and not a carbonated or as "full" as I’d expect from a tripel.
