Sample at Beerfest 2008. This one did not work for me. Maybe I need more exposure. Dark amber. Vanilla and caramel scent. Smooth start and then a shocking harsh bit at the end. Toffee and hops seeming to clash.

Jun 26, 2008 Pours light amber red, thin head. Bready, caramel aroma. Light roasty caramel and some sweetness. Some hops.

Mar 3, 2008 Bottle from CapFlu. Light amber, thin white head. Aroma is a sweet tea like aroma, lightly roasty, light caramel. Taste is lightly hoppy, nice smooth maltiness, crystal malt shows very strongly.
CapFlu (3247), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Feb 4, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a medium white head and a copper coloured body. Nose is toasty, a clean cracker malt. Very good roast flavour, tart biting hop into the finish. Nice execution. Reminds me of LAmčre ā Boire Drak in Montreal. Good malt, very European and clean. God I love this brewery. I cannot wait until they invade Vancouver Island.
