Apr 25, 2008 Sample at Beerfest 2008. This one did not work for me. Maybe I need more exposure. Dark amber. Vanilla and caramel scent. Smooth start and then a shocking harsh bit at the end. Toffee and hops seeming to clash.

Mar 3, 2008 Bottle from CapFlu. Light amber, thin white head. Aroma is a sweet tea like aroma, lightly roasty, light caramel. Taste is lightly hoppy, nice smooth maltiness, crystal malt shows very strongly.

Feb 4, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a medium white head and a copper coloured body. Nose is toasty, a clean cracker malt. Very good roast flavour, tart biting hop into the finish. Nice execution. Reminds me of LAmère à Boire Drak in Montreal. Good malt, very European and clean. God I love this brewery. I cannot wait until they invade Vancouver Island.
