This Dogon goddess is known as the siser of masks, which were very important to the ceremonies and rituals of those people. She taught humanity how to make beer, in order to help fuel the first Sigi ritual, which was a ceremony of wild dancing that lasted for 7 years, moving from one village to another. Now that’s a party!

Bottle, shared with my wife (she loves these floral wits). Pours a lovely red-orange, and with a bit of agitation, a nice haze is generated at the end. The head is modest, and short-lived. The aroma is wheaty and floral, lovely perfumey hibiscus. The same can be said of the palate, with some added light lemony tartness. Fairly acidic, with some bitterness that creeps in as I continue; the delicate florals are pushed aside and diminished. This was nice, but not as nuanced and balanced as Dieu de Ciel’s hibiscus wit.

Cloudy with a red tint - much like a rose wine. Aromas is belgian yeast, herbal, and some tartness. Taste is too much hibiscus for me with a cloying bitterness. Should give this another taste when I’m not in the middle of an extensive tasting.

Pours a cloudy gold with pink hilites and little to no head after the initial pour. Aroma of fruity notes, belgian yeast spiciness, floral flowery notes and together the two blend into kind of a wine Aroma. Taste is floral flowers, kinda fruity and then the bready malts and belgian yeast spice. Finishes dry with a moderate to high carbonation. Nice summer sun drinking beer.

Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours a dark golden with pinkish highlights. Aroma is floral and belgian yeast with bready malts. Taste is very floral with the hibiscus very prevalent. Bready malts and belgian yeast dries out the palate. Nice beer but DDC does this better.

Pours a clear pinkish rose colour with no head and a slight ring of very white slippery lace(Not sure if that’s a thing buts its the polar opposite to a sticky lace). Smells fruity, interesting esters, reminds me of a blueberry wheat beer I brewed with a German wheat yeast but fruitier. Also smells of what I assume is the hibiscus flower. Definitely a fruity tasting yeast(typical belgian), has a sourness to it with notes of pears and a carbonation that seemed overpowering at first which I’m not sure if I have gotten used to or it has dissipated. Interesting beer for sure.

Pours cloudy rosee. No head. Aromas are belgian, with hibiscus, sour cherry. Taste is bracing crisp, hibiscus is strong with bitterness and astringency. A pleasant drink.

355ml bottle with some nice artwork pours a peachy orange color with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma is dominated by flowery notes with some mild spices. Taste is fruity sweet with a flowery bitterness. Light bodied with some adequate carbonation. A very unique and interesting brew that was quite enjoyable.
