smell of lager yeast, sour beer manufacturing smell. it’s bright gold and clear with a foamy head that disappears to nothing. taste is yeasty, sourdough bread, lemon, fair and mild bitterness that lasts well, no off flavours. palate is light. for a cheap pale lager it succeeds like most german pilsners, i’ll get it again because it does the job for a good price

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Pale straw coloured with a sweet malty and grassy flavour, toffee notes and a fruity and bitter earthy finish.

500 ml can. Clear golden with white head. Grain and a little lager yeast with citrus and grass finish. Dry with medium bitterness and high carbonation.

From bottle Has a very high carbonation among a light body. Tastes of grainy, sweetened malts among a gushing, metallic carbonation numbing the tongue and leaving back a watery, slimy mix of bitter copper. Hardly drinkable, if it wasnt for the high carbonation, you would be drinking sugary malt water.

330 ml can (even if I feel is less). Sweet smell, better than the usual supermarket lager. Big white head with golden color, what it gains with the head, it looses with the terrible looking carbonatation. Taste is citrical and malty, but the aftertaste is terrible, the worst part of this beer.

0,5 l bottle. Known as a mid low budget beer. Optical okay, clear and golden in the glass, nearly two finger head. Sourish malty on the nose. Starts with a mid herb bitterness, later little grainy influences, metallic. Dull and below average.

Can at home, present from my mates Hardy & Elsa. Pours light yellow with a good head that disappears quickly. Some grassy notes. Thin bodied, some sweetness and a slightly bitter finish. Very boring.

Clear light yellow, white lacing foam head. Barley aroma and taste, normal to any German pilsener. Short lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201410)

For me, this beer hit below my expectation. Unusually metallic taste bitterness, followed by bitter finish. Did I pick bad batch ?

Can from a market in Alexanderplatz Haultbanhauf. Pours light gold with a white head. Aroma is bready with light hop. Flavor is lightly hoppy and quite bready. Not very tasty.
