Parks a dark espresso color. Notes of coffee, cocoa, smoke, and forest floor. (wet wood) Somewhat watery with a bitter waxy finish.

Draft at the brewpub. Opaque black with a lasting creamy head. Nose is coffee, cocoa, caramel, and char. Flavor is mocha, charred wood, berries, and graham crackers. Medium body is watery, slightly astringent and drinkable.

Draft at Brewers Rendezvous 7/10/10. Pours a thin off white head, over a dark, but still brown (SRM 30) body.....nose is coffee, chocolate.....taste is coffee, chocolate with a light bit of bitterness on the finish.....mouth feel is light, carbonation medium. This is obviously a Stout, but it is very light in mouth feel, and rather simple in its presentation. BJCP 6/3/11/5/7

Coffee roast aroma. Beige head. Black smooth and slightly rich on the palate with some dryness in a crisp roast finish.

GABF. Some coffee and chocolate on the aromas. Flavor was more of the same with some hoppiness in the finish. not bad

Draught. Pours black with a small, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, chocolate, coffee), light hops (grass), average yeast (leather) with notes of prunes and tar. Medium bodied, oily texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.
