Paka Pramen Dunkles Lagerbier

Dark brown colour. Bubbly, light brown head thad fades quickly. Fruity/flowerly aroma with melons, sweet malt. Roasty, woody, hopy flavour.

The bottle looks terrible. A Czech beer - but everything on it is written in German. The beer in the glass is very dark. Tastes very different, little bit like chocolate, little bit like coffee. But besomes more nasty with every gulp. Not a good beer.

Bottled. Big aroma of caramel, toffee, and artifical sweetner. Dark brown pour with a brief light brown head. Tastes sweet, way too much artificial sweetner added ("sugar" according to the label). Caramel and dark, roasted malt. Added vitamin C doesn’t help. Cloying nature detracts from the positives. Better than its cousin, Paka Pramen (Hell), still, to be avoided if you’re unlucky enough to find them in Leipzig.
