Pours clear amber with a spare, fizzy, white head, diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, straw, cereal), average hops (flowers), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of peach and toffee. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. esjaygee (721), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jun 22, 2008 Amber with thin white head. Aroma of caramel and sweet malts. Mostly malted body with mild caramel flavors. A bit over carbonated but overall not too bad. JPDIPSO (4210), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA May 22, 2008 Lightly hazed darker amber color with only a few bubbles left afloat after the pour. Earthy pale malt, light caramel and a hint of floral hops. SOme hints of grass and vegetables as it warms. Mild pale malt start, and afraid that is about as good as it gets, which leads to an earthy bitter middle and fairly tart acidic finish and linger. Some toffee does come in as it warms, but still seems unclean to me. SDbruboy (1819), San Diego, California, USA May 13, 2008 12 oz bottle from Dean at SDBrewCo, courtesy of Dave from GABF. Pours slightly hazed reddis pecan color with a small white head. Earthy aroma, ripe apricot, florals, toasty malts and black tea. Burnt toffee in the flavor, lemon, more black tea, dusty florals, herbal hops and phenols. Medium to full body, minimal carbonation and a bit of an oily feel.
