Commercial Description:
Red Truck IPA is an American India Pale Ale, generously dry hopped to give this beer a full hop aroma and flavor, but with a strong caramel malt profile that balances the intense hop flavor and aroma with a slight sweetness that makes this beer a rich experience in flavor.

12 oz. bottle, from Dean at SD BrewCo, courtesy of David, GABC keg master. Pours deep hazy copper color with lots of sediment and a small beige head. Fruity, toasty, earthy aroma with a hint of must, tart cherry, florals and a bit of coffee - this is a really interesting IPA. Toasty, earthy malts, with a bit of burnt caramel, some prune notes, more florals, light citrus and bitter herbs. Medium to medium-full body, minimally tingly.

Draught. Pours clear tawny with an average, frothy, light brown head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, grain), heavy hops (perfume, pine), average yeast (dough) with notes of pear and peach. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.

Incredible beer when done right. A victim of over sampling. Better when unfiltered and dry-hopped. Occasionally too dry but definetly the most balanced IPA I’ve ever had. Nice malt, nice hops.

Bottle, courtesy the Grand Junction relatives. Bright citrus hops on the nose, with some sharp pine notes underneath. Flavor was nicely hoppy, lively and crisp, with a nice bitter finish. Tasty stuff.

I tasted this beer in Glenwood, close to Palisades, so it was probably way fresher than that enjoyed by our PA friends. Lovely white head, a bit cloudy. Hops were awesome, very floral up front (maybe they upped the hops in response to the suggestions). A slight hint of sweetness, and nice bitter finish. Honestly, one of the best IPAs I’ve had and I love IPAs (when in the East I love Dogfish 60 and 90 minute and Victory IPA). Maybe RedTruck doesnt travel well (it is an early 50s Chevy you know). Try it again locally.

12oz bottle shared courtesy of DenverLogan. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of orange peel, spices, and light pine. Tastes of oranges, pine, light caramel, and a little fruity. Not overly bitter.
