| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Bottled. Cloudy orange amber with medium white head that lasts though the whole brew. Aroma of grass and resin hops along with obvious caramel malts, slightly sweet smelling. Taste is semi-sweet with lots of hop flavor though has more malt character than most IPAs, which makes this brew somewhat unique and fun to drink. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA

Prickly, spicey palate, dry in the finish with a strong bitter bite. Extreme bitterness but not much balance or complexity. bu11zeye (5740), Frisco, Texas, USA

Nice hop aroma, slightly woody. Clear bronze beer with nice bitter, oaky flavor that finishes long and almost smoky. Very good overall, could use a bit more malt body. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 18, 2009 12oz botttle from Bubble Liquor in Castle Rock. Pours murky copper with thick off-whte head. Aroma is sweet malt, candied sugar, hops, and a little citrus. Flavor is malty with caramel, candied sugar and some hops. Definitly more a malt forward IPA. More of balance APA than a IPA in my opinion. Decent ale just not a good IPA. esjaygee (1600), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Copper with a rocky slowly dissipating beige crown. Aroma of grapefruit, grassy hops, caramel malt and light citrus. First impression is just back end bitterness with not much else. Subsequent sips reveal citrus, bready, pale and sweet malts. Bitterness does linger on and some astringency creeps in as does an acidic finish.
