Traditioneel Belgisch bruin bier van hoge gisting met hergisting op fles. Een droger vlot drinkend speciaal bier gemaakt met donkere mouten en 4 hoppen die zorgen voor een rijke smaak. Bevat gerstemout.

Bottle 33cl. Opaque deep brown color, two finger creamy tan head, good retention, leaving a thick layer, good lacing; sweet malty nose, roasty, caramel, raisins, brown sugar; moderate sweetbitter taste, dark chocolate notes; medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation; finish mild bittersweet. Quite nice bruin beer, a bit stout-like.

Henricus’s second, tasted at the Horeca Expo of Ghent in November 2013. Off-white, sticky head, pure bronze colour, hazy. Aroma of caramel, nuts, red berries, rhubarb, mint, toasted bread. Apple sweetishness in the onset, some candi sugar, caramel malts, soft and well rounded, mild grassy hop bitterness in the finish.

[ Trade by Benzai ]. Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, brown malt, bread, fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is fizzy - lively to soft. Douberd (2290) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUL 31, 2014
Bottle 330ml at home, poured inot a small tulip. ABV 6% Deep brown colour on the body, a bit less than two figers of thick brown-ish head, with good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, light roasted malts, light nuts. A bit sweet with some iron notes on the finish, caramel, light yeast. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Medium thin body with lively carbonation. Quite good.

From 33 cl bottle january ’14 @ home. Almost clear darkruby red - brown color, with a off-white head. Aroma is malts, lightly metal, brown sugar. Medium body. Taste sweet, dark malts, some herbs, metallic, very little hops.

Tap at Beer Passion 2014. Antwerp. Poured a murky dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is yeast, roasted malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt liqourice bitter light hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle. dark brown color. Caramel and pear in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty caramelly flavor with pear. Too sweet, but at least there are some agreable flavors to compensate
