tap@opusk. Amber some orange. Malty, bit cardboardy/plywoody, butterscotch dry apricots on nose. Fruity, feels a bit past its prime, or might just be the belgyness showing itself. Bitter, quite round soft though, some butterscotchy sweetness, med thick. Feels very belgian. And almost like its been some wood. Flavourful though, pretty easy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy orange amber beer, medium dense white head. Nose is fruity, hoppy, mango, citrus, pine, malty caramel notes. Flavor is malts and mango, hops. Fruity and piney finish, less bitterness than the style usually has. Lingering pine and more mango. A fair balance, very drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber orange like color, haze, with unstable off-white head.
Visually medium carbonation. Aroma: rich aroma of hops, which takes on gooseberry, oranges, citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, with some floral, herbal undertones, which are supported with biscuit like aroma of malts.
Flavor: biscuit like malt flavors are supported with fruity flavors of hops, which takes on grapefruit, gooseberry, tangerine, oranges etc. Taste is firstly sweet, with slightly bitter/dry finish, which lingers long in aftertaste.
Malt backbone is tiny, but still strong enough to support hop bitterness, which is low for ipa style and it’s avtually more proper for apa style.
Body is medium, texture is very smooth, carbonation is medium.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours hazy amber with thick white head, that holds for a few minutes. Nose is fruity hops. Aromas are toasted malts, herbal hops, a very light hint of lychee. Average carbonation, medium body. Medium bitter finish. Not that aromatic and bitter for an IPA.

Sød frugt indledning, går en smule over i noget besk. Tynd krop . Ikke meget der skiller sig ud her.

Bottle split with Dad and trying to ignore Bryan Adams, early hours of 01/01/16. Chewy orange, fig and anise aroma waking up with varnished pine and nectarine yeast. Orange marshmallow flavour with dried apricot, nectarine and old powdered ginger, maybe fenugreek. Yeast bullying hops but this is Belgium.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
For an India Pale Ale, this beer really lacks the nice characteristic hoptones that can make an IPA something special. It was too ’flat’ overall.
