COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Special for Wetherspoons: "As a special treat this Christmas, we have brought this beer across from one of Belgium’s great breweries. It has pronounced hop flavours which complement the fruit and caramel notes, together with an emerging sweetness and pleasing, soft finish."

Cask (handpump) @ Lord Moon Of The Mall - JDW, 16-18 Whitehall, West End, Greater London, England SW1A 2DY.

Clear medium to dark amber brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light licorice - spicy yeast. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111227]

Cask at the John Logie Baird (JDW), Hastings. Golden amber with a thin white head that laced the glass nicely; the aroma is yeasty with some red fruit; the body is grainy with a slightly sour fruit flavour; and the finish is dry with some caramel biscuit and perhaps a touch of spice. Very pleasant and reminiscent of the standard Palm.

On cask at jdw, stone. Pours brown with white head. Sour, dark fruits, dry and pretty uninteresting. Especially for a Belgian ale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at The Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a creamy cap. Lots of lacing. Some doughy malts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, subtle Belgian yeast, some dough, faint alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, malty finish, some sweet bread, toasty sugar, weak Belgian character. Drinkable but that’s about it.

Cask conditioned Handpump Moon On The Square Northampton. A classic brown coloured beer with an off-white coloured collection of head. Served very cold. Nutty and a bit fruity in the nose. Better fruits in the mouth with a touch of berry. Dark fruits. Certainly malty with sweetness. It’s OK.

Cask/handpump at the Sir Michael Balcon in Ealing. Amber with fine white head, caramel and malt on the nose, sweetish and fruity but with a tart edge. Dry-sweet finish with a little floral hop coming through. Not bad at all.
