Nose of rotting fruits. Little flavor, little maltyness. Head died quickly. For a Belgian this is highly dissapointing. Bottle at Lallisse Wine Bar in Manhatten, New York City.

On tap in De Engelbewaarder. Slightly hazy amber beer with a good ivory head. Low carbonation. Fresh mild malt with a little dried fruit. The malt turns a little lagerish towards the finish. Alright.

Cloudy amber to beige beer, creamy white big head. Aroma: yeast, caramel, bready, banana peel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: caramel, very bready yeast, hops, some citrus, bit fruity. Aftertaste: toasted malts, hops, some apple skin. Man, why would anyone ever want a regular Palm after having tasted this?

15cl sample at ZBF’11 on tap
Cloudy amber color
Quite a special yeasty aroma. Slightly bitter taste with a dry malt aftertaste.
Not like the average Palm but much better in my opinion.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2011 Cloudy orange with a good head. Smell is grainy malts. Same with taste. A bit like overdated normal palm with to less carbonation. Getting better, and more the real palm-taste while warming up a bit.
