UPDATED: JAN 9, 2012 28/12/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 12/10/12 (2011-741) Thanks to Akke for bringing the bottle!

Clear dark amber to red brown beer, big creamy off-white head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: caramel, bit metallic, toast, very malty, sweet. MF: good carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of citrus first, sweet malts, some toast, orange peel, green banana, caramel. Aftertaste: green banana, bitter hops, some citrus.

Swaroga (255) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 18, 2011
33cl bottle. Amber dark and clear liquid with a fair dirty head. Nose : dried fruit notes with dairy creamy , ice-cream like aromas of raisin (malaga ice-cream) and banana. Spicy, caramel. Sip : oily with a foamy carbonation. Little sweet raisin and nut start with a little bitter hop continuation. Sour ester finish. Balanced and not exciting winter beer.

Draft. Info says ABV of 6%. A bit darker colour than the regular palm. Fruity aroma, some alcohol present. A bit fuller flavour than regular Palm. I don’t like regular Palm and I don’t like this... slightly "improved" version either.

Clear amber-brown color, off-white head. Smell caramel, malts and some spices. Taste malts, slightly bitter and again some herbs or spices. Not very interesting, but nothing really wrong with it either.

Fruity aroma, very bitter flavour. Flat texture, not disimilar to water. Disappointing.

Pours a nice dark brown color. Nothing much more than ordinary Palm beer only to have a thicker texture. Not bad but hardly to be described as a special ale.

Bierkrug (1640) - Idar-Oberstein (In Senegal), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JUN 5, 2011
330 ml bottle picked up in Belgium, and dragged off the Kenya. Pours a dark amber color with a huge beige head. Aroma is malt, rubber and hops. Taste is more rubber, rottem plants, alcohol. The flavors are reminiscent of vinegar and worcestershire sauce with hints of marsala wine. There is also a subtle fruit and malt presence. The beer has an almost non-existent finish - not particularly dry or heavy, and very shortlived aftertaste. Why did I bother to take this half way arond the world to enjoy? The horse on the label tells me a lot as to where this beer came from.
