Sweet version of the regular palm. Has more fruits and it a bit more yeasty. Boring actually.

Strong Aroma and taste. The bottle is a regular one making the beer to loose the attention from other beers in the same category.

I love it. An "everyday beer", bust tasty, nice aftertaste, amber, clear, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour, medium body, average carbonation,

On tap at Café Refuge, Lier, Belgium, Friday 20th March 2015 Pours amber, very lively with a huge frothy sticky white head. A fairly safe beer, bit too cold but it’s fine if a little thin. Malty, watery sweetness, some red berries. Ok. A5 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9

Dark amber with a white head. Nose is cheesy. Body is light, texture thin, carbon high. Taste is sweet with acid tones Palate mostly gives a feeling of herbs and malts with hints of caramel. B@H

The smell of malt, plum fried. Foam poor. Plum also like taste, but watery, weak bitterness, a little sour and malt. The end like even more watery.

Keg at Den Engel, Leek. Clear deep amber colour with thick white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt and almonds. Taste of caramel, dark fruits and brown sugar. Too cold to get any decent flavours. High carbonation and thin body. Short, metallic finish. Not a good beer.

25cl bottle bb10/2015, AH Gent. Nostalgic rebuy&rerate, taking me back to the adolescent days of weekly "Palm Fridays" and homemade hotdogs. Just like regular Palm, I remember this as being maltier and richer. Aroma of amber malts fresh like cut wood spawns and toasted bread crust, marred by a whiff of macro-metallic chicken broth and sulphur. Made in smaller batches, this beer and style of Spéciale Belge in general has the potential of competing with fragrant franconian Kellers, but alas has been adopted by few brewers & relinquished by many... Taste sees some lemon peel and herbal hop accents pierce through the rich amber malt blanket, conjuring up unripe chestnute and banana before becoming bogged down in a quick and uninspired dry finish, probably the astringent coda of nostalgia. Always up for a revisiting this potentially great beer on draught or in 75cl bottle...
