COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.

Had at a Turkish late night fast food place in Gent. Really it isn’t too bad but up against other Belgian Ales it is a little weak. Serving: Bottle

Headless amber. Faint pilsner aroma with a bit of grass and nut. Taste is better than expected. Rather like a Heineken reformulated to be palatable. Grassy, nutty, with solid malt. Drinkable, and still substantial enough. $2/11.2oz

Pours a beautiful clear golden amber with a thick, frothy, fairly persistent snow-white head. Aroma is strong and mainly fruity with a malty undertone and a hint of hops. Crisp flavor is malty and just a little fruity. Texture is fairly fizzy, and finish has just a touch of hop bitterness.

One of these very ordinary beers. I don’t know what makes this beer to be belgium ale or special as the producer is claming. To me this looks and tastes like any big brewery ultra commercial lager. Not really bad, but equally boring, unusual and not much giving. Color is light and golden, and head is gone after three minutes. Taste is mild and disappears quick. There’s only one primary aroma, which has a bit sweetness and hops. This beer has one good thing, you can have second, third or tenth without getting annoyed by aroma. Yup, that’s why this sells.

Pale, bland, and underwhelming. A fairly standard beer in Belgium, sadly it is not perceived as average outside of Belgium.

Draught. Pale amber and clear beer with creamy but quite thin head. Light aroma has pale mats and sweetish fruitiness. Some bubblegum from the yeast and very light hoppiness. Dull and thin flavour on every aspect. Somewhat pleasing bready malts in the finish. Light and a bit fizzy palate.

50 cl can. Light, pale amber color. Aroma of caramel and amber malts. flavor basically the same. Clean and easy drinking, but kind of bland. Better I tap, if I remember.
