Aroma of caramel malts, slightly cidery aroma... Flavor was caramel malts, apple cider, gentle sweetness... Very drinkable ale, minimal bitter finish... Pretty good.

33cl bottle. Poured with a disappearing frothy biege head atop a copper orange body. Subtle malt aromas, a bit of cereal but generally subdued initially with a developing toastiness as it warms. A lager malt graininess about the flavour profile with some light, zingy lemon with a delicate bitter end. Fairly lively but relatively thin mouthfeel, a light body and short finish. Not keen on this one.

Palm can poured into Palm glass. Palm has virtually replaced pilsener in my fridge as ’everyday-beer’. The reason is simple. This beer has the drinkability of a pilsener but as an added bonus, has much more flavor to it. The medium roasted malts give a copper red-browinsh color and as a result make the malts shine trough a whole lot more when compared to standard pilsener. Because not much hop is used, what you get is a velvet, smooth, honey-like malt taste. I like that a lot. Availability is not a problem for me because Palm has declared the Netherlands as their second ’home-market’ after Belgium. I can find Palm in can or bottle in any supermarket and that is good thing. Like De Koninck from Antwerp, Palm falls in the category of the ’Speciale Belge’ ales, this means easy drinkability combined with a great taste and a moderate alcohol volume. Palm is a year-round ale; refreshing in the summer and warming in the winter. I highly recommend this beer.

0.75 Bottle from Csakajosor.hu. Poured golden yellow with a tan head. Aroma of malts, apple, grapes, light hops, yeast, some caramel. Light body with high carbonation, easy on the palate. Well balanced beer, quite enjoyable. Underrated.

I had this glass at the A la Mort Subite in Brussels. It came in the glass a rich amber color with a robust off-white head that laced nicely. Nose of some fruit, oak, and some floral hops. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Complex flavor with lots of fruit that carries over into the finish.

I had this at a bar with a pretty limited selection and was pleasantly surprised. Very deep amber color with not much carbonation. Very slight yeast and caramel aroma,. The taste was a lit apples and sweetness. Pretty mild but very good for the bar I was in and good session beer.
