COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light floral and grassy notes with a hints of fruit and toast. It pours a bright transparent golden-orange with a one finger head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. It’s has minimal spotty lacing. The flavor starts with light toasty caramel and a touch of fruit. The finish has some light grassy/floral hops and a touch of metal. It’s light bodied with somewhat lively carbonation. Overall, I just find it rather bland. I’d choose it over the major micros, but that’s not saying much.

Nightfall (1231) - Hamburg, GERMANY - NOV 29, 2011
Amber with a small ceramy off-white head. Sweet malty aroma, with some caramel and a little bit of fruits. Sweet malty taste, fruititer than expected some hops come towrads the end makin a light bitter finish. Very drinkable, but rather boring and uninspired for a belgian ale.

Clear amber, some bubbles. Smells like an Vienna, quite sweet, caramel. Flavour very lacking, quite sweet Palate very thin and flat. Improves slightly as it warms but not much to it, although drinkable.
