COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.
Sold as Palm outside of Europe.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Spicy grainy nose. Copper coloured beer with Thin sudsy white head. Fine bubbles. Light bodied and zingy. Crisp dry finish. This beer does have characteristics of Champagne along with a touch of English bitter, even a little dried fruit. Easy drinking for an ale. Very nice.

Bottle. Atoma of cereal and fresh bread. Copper dark honey color. Taste is similar with dry flat finish that takes you to a dark place void of happy flavor. Reminds me of Stella Artois.

Here is a beer that I have seen consistently over the years, and never actually tried. It’s like a movie that always looked good, but not quite good enough to dedicate the 90 minutes of life to sit down and watch. I must be bored. Pours a copper color with a thin fizz head. Near absent, apple grain aroma. Flavor is metallic up front, and throughout for me, with subtle grains. No flavor here that really appeals to me. Can’t get over the metallic. Palate is consistent with sucking on a penny. Weird beer, but far from terrible I suppose.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 24B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 22 19:12. AROMA: moderate malt aroma with a grainy-neutral and slight sweet note. medium fruity esters with notes of pear drops. Slight peppery and perfumy phenols. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and translucent. off-white to ivory head (medium-low), with medium-low retention. TASTE: medium-low grainy-sweet (almost neutral) balanced with fruity esters of the same intensity (pears). low bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. no astringency and faint creaminess. OVERALL: a belgian pale ale within the style with a somewhat balance between an almost neutral grainy-sweet malt and fruity esters. it would improve with more bitterness.

Pours clear golden amber with limited white head. Barley malt and hops combined in this flavour that is a little heavier than one would expect. Not too complex though. Decent enough

Barwa herbaciana, piana biała, dość szybko opada i pozostaje biały pierścień. W aromacie nuty chmielowe. W smaku słodowe z nutami chmielowymi, goryczka na niskim poziomie. Gdzieś w tle majaczą nuty przyprawowe.
