COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.
Sold as Palm outside of Europe.

5.2% ABV Can from Cellar Door, Four Oaks. Pours orange-amber with single finger head. Carbonation medium. Aroma of malts, orange. Taste of initial grass, grain, hay, then orange, lemon, grass again then some grape, biscuit. Ok

*Old rating, 25 cl, best before 05/12/02. 5%. Bernsteinfarbenes, mild-weiches und süßlich-malziges Bier. Süffig mit einem Hauch von Würze. Nett.

On tap at Warren’s Ale House in Wheaton, IL., as a full sampler, showing a clear & bright, golden hue, with silky, off white head froth, and wavy, web-like cling to the lacing. The nose was subtle yeast, sweetness, banana, apple, and light spice. Light bodied, with okay carbonation, the taste, on the other hand, was washed out, with just a hint of finishing tartness. Kind of a fair, homebrew result, imo.

75cl bottle, shared and poured into a trappist glass. Clear amber colour with a small white head which disappears quickly. Aroma of sweet malt. Carbonated with a thin body. Taste is a little sweet - malt, caramel and some fruits. Drinkable but average.

Dirty finish, not super pleasant. Light golden, pretty beer. Overall drinkable I guess but this is pretty low quality with some serious off flavors going on.

Een lekker bier, dat je als pils kunt drinken, maar wel een mooi palet heeft. Duidelijk hop en gist aanwezig, alsmede bloesem.

Pours a clear amber color, topped with a nice white head. Ok retention. Malty aroma, not strong, some notes of yeast in there. Sweet and slightly fruity, a bit yeasty and bitter in the finish. A bit too malty but not really bad.

Light amber color, tall lasting head, little lace. Light body but assertive flavor, smooth texture, bright mouthfeel, avg length. Bitter but a hint of sweet malt in the background, bitter and dry finish, Caramel, malt, hoppy. Refreshing, good if you like the style, not as balanced as I like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
