COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.

330ml bottle as Palm Export, at home, many thanks to Finn for this one. Decent beige head covering a bright copper coloured body. Faint aroma of grainy malts. Flavoured with caramel malts and candy sweetness, and mingled with hints of dried fruits. Restrained malt-bitter ending. Just alright, without greater excitements (Tromsø, 20.08.2011).

Bottle. Smells of the inside of a metal barrel. Pale golden brown in colour. Tastes of rose petals and Turkish delight. A bit sickly and light and bodiless.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2011 Poured from a tap into a goblet. Color was dark red, almost brown. About 1 3/4 inches of head. Smelled fairly hoppy. Heavy smell, but rich and flavorful. Not too much carbonation. Pleasantly bitter and didn’t taste much like the smell. It somehow got better as it went on. Very smooth taste for the high hops.
