PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.
Sold as Palm outside of Europe.

Got this at Peculier Pub in the East Village, came in the nice glass and all that. Pours amber color with a creamy looking white head. Not much to the smell, which was mild: malts, a few hops and some yeast. Very slightly sweet, especially with the fruitiness right in the middle. Then the finish of the beer goes to a dry taste. Definitely has a few stages of flavor, but overall nothing overly impressive.

draft came in the nice palm glass has a light amber color and a thin coating of white head. aroma has mild malt, sweetness, bitter hops, and some bread. light mouth feel leads to a mild malted beer, complementing sweetness, mild bitter hops, and some minerals. smooth and nice session level.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2010 On tap at fiddler’s NJ : An unexpected find at a local after work watering hole. Tapped a copper color with a large ’Belgian head’, long retention and great lacing. Aroma is simple but ample and fresh; bready malts, fruit notes and woody hopping. Flavour is unpretentious as well; big malts in the front, twiggy-spicy hopping compliments but allows malts to sit forward, middle has some fruit tones and earthyness, rich malt and fruity finish. I like this kind of a thick malty beer even though it’s out of profile for what one would expect from a Belgian ale...malt is prominent and a welcome...a satisfying approachable ale. I’ll be back for more

Refreshing, nothing from another world. It was nice but just like that. IT’s easy to drink and with good appearance.

Draft at Irenes. Wow what a let down. Poured a thin amber body with a small white head. Aroma was mostly grassy hops and cereal grain hops, flavor disappointingly followed suit. Best thing I can say about this beer was it was served in the proper glassware which was a rather nice sniffter.

0.33L bottle, small head which dissapears quite quickly, clear light copper colour, light malty aroma with notes of vanila. flavour of malt wit a touch of metal and strong coarse alcoholic presence, quite light bodied, short aftertase, not good.

On Tap at the Bear & Billet, Chester 05/04/2008 Lots of carbonation. Floral and hop aromas. Golden coloured a little rich on the palate and sour with a crisp and slightly dry full malt finish.
