COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.
Sold as Palm outside of Europe.

(Rating #151)

Bottle. Nice copper colour. Small white head. Easy to drink beer. There are much better belgian beers but for that price.... Just OK.

On tap at the Vermont Restaurant at the Holiday Inn Amsterdam ("eat, drink, and be Vermont" - in the Netherlands? WTF?). Amber color with a slight fizzy mouthfeel. Malty and pretty ok. Nothing really special, but at the same time, oddly drinkable. When I went to bars in the Netherlands and there weren’t any new beers for me to try, I’d order this.

(bottle) Clear amber colour with a small white frothy layer, quickly diminishing. Roastmalty vinous aroma. Very light bodied, malty start and medium dry hoppy slightly metallic finish.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 25 cl) For my first "Palm" years ago I remember saying that it’s taste was pretty close to a brewery’s smell. But that was something to appreciate. Nice amber colour, the head disappears a bit fast for my liking. Yeasty, malty nose and some caramel notes well balanced with the hops. Very high drinkability. 060693

This is a very fine beer. A bit sweet. A bit more alcohol than the other pilseners. For a party one can affer the guests a Palm Speciale you never do it wrong.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2007 Low white head on an amber body. The tast is not bad, easy drinking beer. Otherwise there is nothing special about this brew. Very easy to drink. Nice beer to drink and relax on in Antwerp, I guess
