COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.
Sold as Palm outside of Europe.

Bottled, 5,2 %. Amber colur, poor head. Grassy and fruity aroma. Rich in malts and fruity flavour with notes of toffee. The carbonation is a bit disturbing. An ordinary beer.

Can, 5.2%. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), with a note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, husky, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. WTF?! Swill.

Nice shiny golden color, white head. Has a great malty aroma with burnt sugar and some toffee. Flavor is hoppy and brings some citrus. Offers a really hoppy finish. A really good beer.

On tap. Red and slightly cloudy color with big head. Caramel taste with some carbonation makes flavour nicely balanced. Malt little bit of watery and that makes body pretty thin. Easy to drink and leaves some fruity and carbonated taste in your mouth. Basic ale.

Picked up a 4-pk of these in the city of Morioka last weekend. Clean amber color with a medium beige head, some lacing. Sweetness from the corn evident up front, non offensive over-ripe fruit scent. A sweet light malty taste with some slight vegetal flavors. A good intro Belgian Ale for BMC drinkers and a good "Palate cleanser" between more complex beers. Not a bad summer beer, I will pick up more on my next trip.

Unique flavor leaves a bit of an aftertaste. Hard to describe exactly, but the best I can do is say it seems too sweet. Not bad - certainly drinkable - light and pleasant but nothing special.
