PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.
Sold as Palm outside of Europe.

Amber ber with a good carbonation. Light beige head. Spicy aroma. The flavor is more difficult to describe as it disappears almost immediately. A very htin bodied beer. I hardly recognise some malty notes and caramel.

Indeed a very nice sessionbeer. [Eat that you bloody anglofiles.] With lots of behavior ale and fruitnotes. A wellbalanced yeasty profile, soft and refreshing.

Bottle. Poured a nice amber beer with a good head. The aroma is sweet, fruity, and malty. The flavor is soft, sweet of a good malt blend, and slightly bitter. A really good beer.

Pours an orangey, deep gold and sparkling in the lights. A central eddy of fine bubbles rise up to a flaccid, wafer-thin, broken white head that sadly dwindled further back to crown-less. Overly sweet toasted malt nose with a light showing of apricots and uncooked almonds. Quite fizzy, nostril ticklingly fizzy like a glass of Coca cola™. Again, sweet toasted malts, not as pronounced on the palate as in the nose, but dominant none-the-less. Some candied Belgian yeastiness peeks out. Flows through into a filmy, soapy mouthfeel that trails off into the swallow. Soft flavour of Anzac cookies, pale nuts and dusty old hop flowers in back. Not much length to save it aside the layering effect it had on my tongue - raw almonds anyone? Rather lifeless and one-dimensional overall, I can’t say it is refreshing so it comes down to just plain bothersome to drink. Average. (30cL, 29/08/07, Jandakot Liquor)

Bottle. Amber coloured with slight off-white head. This was all a bit dull with a mildly malty aroma followed by bland flavours of lazy hops. Not much of a finish.

Can. Dark yellow color, huge white head, aroma and flavor has some sweet and low bitterness, almos not percepective. Cerveja de co Âmbar com enorme espuma, aroma e sabor adocicado, baixo amargor quase imperceptível.

Amber colour, large white head. Aroma: sweet, malty. Flavours: quite sweet, smooth, almost no bitterness. Drinkable, although the sweet aftertaste leaves a oily layer on the velum.

Bottle, 33 cl. This beer was the first to drop me in the belgium beers, more than 20 years ago. Yersterday taste again. Amber with a white head. Aroma dry, malty with a little fruity touch. Thin body. Taste = sweet, very light hop caracter, malts, little bitterness.

From my notes 6/4/2007 on-tap - one-finger off-white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Malty nose. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is a mellow caramel with hops in the background, clean finish. €3.25 ($4.45) for a 330ml glass from Three Sisters Pub Amsterdam, NL.
