UPDATED: AUG 8, 2011 It’s quite a regular drink for me. Sometimes when i don’t feel like drinking lager/pilsner i drink this one. Or at least, i did a few years ago. Easy to drink, nothing too special.

This poured a copper color with a white head. The aroma contains biscuit, caramel, and corn. How is this not an amber lager/ale? Anyway flavor issomewhat sweet with caramel and toffee. Decent drinking simple beer but ok.

Smells like toasted underwear soaked in Eurolager. Meh. Metallic hops, I was expecting something like De Konincke or something but it was lagery - and no better than Yuengling. Darkish amber, sort of cool label with the big draft horse. They say English hops - but it tastes German. Perhaps Kent Goldings, but not Fuggles. Slightly sweet, toasted, not very complex. Sugary finish, medium body. Market Square Liquors, Timberlane.

Caramel malts, fruit... just ok but also slightly boring. Somewhat sweet. I don’t think I will buy this again.

Sample. Tasted OK. A bit familiar, kind of like some of the European macro-brews. Drinkable, but nothing special.

Clear amber coloured beer, creamy off-white to yellowish head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: hops, bit malty, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus fruits up front, with bitter notes, then malts and a bit sweet. Aftertaste: more citrus, dry and a bit bready. I could have a couple of these on a warm summer day. Maybe because it’s a typical Belgian style (Spéciale Belge), I like it better than most, or because I’m used to it.

330 ml bottle. Clear amber colour, thin white head. Sweetish malty aroma with some fruity notes. The flavour is a lot like the aroma, sweetish malty, with notes of fruits and berries. Hops hardly noticeable. A little thin. Nothing special.
