PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.
Sold as Palm outside of Europe.

on tap at the Iron Horse, Westwood NJ. Deep golden colored body, lightly amber at the center. Not much head, thin & foamy light tan. Aroma is honey, corn malt, also husky and grassy. A little citrusy too. Flavor is dry and grassy malt, yeasty and grainy, a little tangy and citrusy. Crisp carbonation. Haven’t had this since 1991 and my friends thought it was skunked back then. They just didn’t know what it was supposed to taste like.

Keg in Center Parc, Zandvoort. Clear golden orange beer with a white head. Nose is floral, caramel, fragrant floral and fruity yeast esters, pear drops, slight cereal toasted grain. Taste is sweet, floral, perfumed yeast ester, caramel. Moderate flavour but with nice Belgian fruity yeast action.

Typical commercial beer, even though it’s not eurolager, it’s still very boring and dull. No obvious defects doesn’t make it any better than it is.

Amberkleurig helder bovengistend bier. Koolzuur is medium. Geen gekke dingen.... Een bier om er makkelijk een paar van te nemen....niet speciaal zoals het label meld.

Clear amber, long medium head and sparkling. Some caramel malt aroma. Light sweet and even less bitter, with some malt and syrup notes. Lively carbonation, thin texture.

Hvis det var en pilsner - ville jeg give den en væsentlig bedre karakter. Men det er en Belgisk amber - som er meget anonym...

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Spicy grainy nose. Copper coloured beer with Thin sudsy white head. Fine bubbles. Light bodied and zingy. Crisp dry finish. This beer does have characteristics of Champagne along with a touch of English bitter, even a little dried fruit. Easy drinking for an ale. Very nice.
