COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.

25cl bottle Roasted, marzipan, some honey, but something trashy in it. Clear amber, nice sparkling from the scratches in the glass, off-white head, fading to a little layer. Roasted, sweet, apple, a little hint of herbs. Watery finish, light mouthfeel, fizzy.

Aromas of caramel, nuts, citrus and tropical fruit, peach, and apple cider. Hazy amber with a lasting, bubbly, white head. Slightly sweet with apple and subtle strawberry notes. Light-medium body, good carbonation, and a fruity finish.

Tasted 13/4/2013 draught at Cafe De Kletskop, Amsterdam. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a two-finger white foamy head that retained well and laced well. No carbonation bubbles. Aroma faintly of sweet malt. Taste of sweet citrus followed by a mild bitterness. Light body. Smooth balanced finish.
