COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.

Fantastic nose leads to a great collar of tight bubbles that lace the glass after every delicious taste! Foods perfect compliment!

12oz green bottle, best by June 17, 2012. Served at around 45F.

Pours clear amber with a one finger off white head that leaves some lacing and recedes to a small cap.

Aroma is some fruity malt, grainy, bready, some caramel, a bit metallic. Good strength.

Flavor is similar, starts with sweet fruity malt, caramel, some bread and grains, finishes quite sweet, minimal bitterness.

Mouthfeel is light bodied, good carbonation.

OK beer. For me it comes across as part light Amber Ale and part Adjunct Lager. For $9 a six-pack...there are better options.

Pours a medium hued amber with a nice white head. Aroma and Taste is grains, some grassy notes finishes with some lightly toasted caramel malts end a bit of nutty flavor and bit of funkiness, some light bitterness. A nice light to medium body and crisp mouth feel with moderate carbonation. Overall a bit light on flavor and body, not the worst but there are plenty better brews.

Draft. Light scent, mostly a flat maltiness. The appearance was a watery light brown, and the palate was light bodied with a crisp texture. The taste was a dampened Belgian flavor, caramel and dough notes, a bitter finish.

This ale had a clear gold pour with faint amber/bronze, there was a one finger faint off-white head that receded to a cover with a small open area and ring, this beer left spots and partial rings of lacing on the glass, there was no sediment in the bottle, aromas consisted of toasted malt, light fruit – apple and pear in the background with faint grass hops with a little malt and bread like sweetness, the flavors were toasted malt, faint bread and fruit, bread sweetness, and there was a light hop bitterness after the finish, the mouth feel was between light and medium, an ok drink.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2012 Amber bright colors with slight cloudiness and medium head. Aromas, ale hops, sweet malts, grains , fruits and berries vaguely. Palate is smooth carbonation with some hoppiness but quite tame. Texture is medium full with tart fizzling mouth feel. Aftertaste is mild , little dry not much bitter. Finish is little papery with fruits. Not as bitter or hoppy as IPAs etc, but could go for a session.
