UPDATED: MAY 28, 2008 This is decent, has an unusual and interesting, persistent flavour, but is only ok overall. It is deep gold with a medium, dense white head decreasing to a small lasting top and it leaves a little weak lacing. The aroma is grain, flowers, dust, bananas, and a hint of bubblegum. It seems sweet. The taste is very light with an apple-juice quality, tanginess, a lively palate and tingly feel. It’s crisp and pleasant but ultimately a bit bland, with a feel & taste of flat nonalcoholic apple cider mixed with club soda. In some ways it’s similar to Grain Belt, but more bland and not as full.

Bottle at Brazzazz, Chicago. Maybe it was the meat intoxication speaking. Maybe it was the snowfall that started early that morning and didn’t let up until nightfall. Whatever it was, I was impressed with this beer. Poured a beautiful deep yellow, albeit lifeless. Aroma was not what I expected; it was very tropical, with hints of banana and grassy carrot. Flavor was tingly sweety corn and grain. Buttery mouthfeel that was another unusual component. Not bad; very refreshing.

Bottle. Rather odd aroma. Maybe it’s just grassy hop with no malt. Pale golden color with a white head that did a bit of lacing while flattening. Thin in body with mild carbonation. The flavor is pale malt with grass and light fruit. Finishes decently dry. Better than American macros.

Bottle as part of a Christmas gift Wolrd beer case. Slightly better than Coors Light...which is to say, well not much really.

Bottle, 330ml. A straw colour with a small head. Aroma is grassy hops. Taste is slightly hoppy, a little citrus and a touch of grain. Moderate carbonation. A somewhat unpleasant citric finish. A typical lager.
