Canít say that I was all that impressed. I think this was the first Brazillian beer that Iíve had but it didnít make me want to run out and find any others. Blah.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating for Palma Louca Wild Palm Lager (Bottle code: VHL 04/11/04, 052656LOTE5)
Wow. Looks like Iím going Against The Grain on this one. I bought this on the cheap and was totally expecting a skunk. Surprisingly, upon opening I got aromas of honey, all honey... with light herbs and clove under. So, now Iím afraid to sip this average-looking, white over golden beer. But thereís more honey along with a moderate bittersweetness in the flavor. Thoroughly impressive, with a seltzery-fizz on the tongue for a quick and crisp fadeaway.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Light yellow body with a white head. The aroma is fresh carrots and pineapple. The taste has some light carrots and potatoes. The body is thin and this has a metallic, coppery finish. Nothing offensive.

Bottle. "Palma Louca Wild Palm Lager Beer". Wow, this is an interesting aroma. Citrus sweet notes. Very sugary and minty. Almost like peppermint patties or something. Transparent pale golden color with a small white head that disappears quickly. Sweet, sugary start, staying grainy and sweet throughout. Not much else happening. This is like unfermented sweet wort or something. Not horrible, just cloying and non-beer like.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Rating number 1900, and its a classic beer! Very pale gold with a small head. Aromas are sweet grain, skunk, soap and some dry hops. Flavours are tinned sweetcorn water with some metallic hops. More corn on the finish. Dry on the palate. Reminded me of cheap sugar-free lemonade. Mmmm.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
First impression from the pale, straw color was that it would be just like any other BMC product, and it did not fail to disappooint. Aroma and taste(or lack thereof) hardly merit rating. Whatís really sad is that I paid as much for this as Victory Prima Pils.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Yellow, white a white head that remained. Sweet, corny, with husky and lemony notes. No hops. Not good. Not a pilsener by any stretch.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2005 Bottle... Clear, straw-colored lager with a small, fizzy, white head. Smells and tastes like straw, corn and light lemon. Well-balanced, but thin and fizzy. Short, crisp finish. Go to Brazil for the beaches; go to Brazil for the women; go to Brazil for Carnival, but BYOB!

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This beer was surprising, considering the other Brazilian beer Iíve had wasnít too good. But then, this wasnít that great either. It smelled wonderful--lemony almost? But it tastes like freakiní Oídouls! I kid you not. It tasted like Oídouls--not as watery, not as bad, but disappointing nonetheless.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Light yellow, fake looking fluffy head, no lacing. Aroma was very light and grassy. Taste was corn sweeteened malts with a slight grassy finish. Palate was thin and soft, with prickly edges. Not very good
