12 ounce twist top bottle. That in itself is interesting because most imports are 0.33 liter with a pry off crown. Pours clear gold with a nice white head. Taste is kind of thin with a sweet aftertaste. Pretty good lager for a hot summer´s day, but obviously made with some kind of adjunct. Finishes clean and refreshing. Not something that stands out in a crowd, but still far better than a lot of North American lagers. Nice unassuming thirst quencher.

Bottle from Rehills Newcastle. Malty aroma, sweet, watery taste. Ok, unspectacular, drinkable

coffee, nuts, skunky, golden, clear, minimal head, light sweetness, light body, thin feel. Nice malty, slightly skunky aroma. Unfortunately it’s all smoke and mirrors, as it tastes of sweet cardboard and little else. Very thin and it ~might~ hit the spot after a run on a hot summer day. Not something I’m looking to try again however.

Another lager that pours clear golden with small white head. The quite malty aroma dominates the nose, as does the taste really, which is sweet, light and too watery. Still, it was drinkable because it was ice cold, but nothing special about it.

Malty, somewhat nutty. Sweet with little hops profile at all. A step above American macro brews, flavorful but far too sweet.

Bottle from Waitrose. When I saw the scores for this beer, I couldn’t believe that Waitrose beer buyer would give it the time of day. It’s got some cardboard, in fact plenty of cardboard but also a bit of zingy lemon hop too. Not awful, put a pretty regular pale lager. Not awful. I drank the whole bottle.

6 pack of 355s from B&M. Bottle from the bottle. Gold and slippery with a glycerol-on-cardboard vibe as the fizz dies- which is fast. Glue, boiled vegetables, weak grass nose. Some redeeming breadstick malt, or malt-aping adjunct on the palate; spoiling bicarbonate, aspirin. 5 swigs and dead. Had better.

Bottle: Clear gold with a small white head. Sour grain malt, lemon aroma. Taste is watery, sour grain, a little citrus. Grassy. Probably tolerable from an icy cooler while beachside...otherwise, not so much.

355ml Bottle from Waitrose. Pale golden colour with minimal white diminishing head. Aroma is very light malt and just a touch of citrus. , and a very light touch of some malt and citrus. Taste more of the same, and a bit watery.

Bottle from Waitrose. Served a bit too warm, about 9 celsius, whilst listening to some Choro. It has been a sunny day. Aroma - predominantly onion and weed, hints of citrus and banana fritters. Appearance - pale yellow, very clear, thick white head that lasts most of the way down. Taste - Cherry, beaches (seaweed and sand), cinnamon, chlorine, soap, golden syrup, pine, vinegar, dusty old pubs. Palate - slightly soapy but overall all smooth and soft. Overall - reminds me of being on a beach in Honduras. The first sip after giving it a whiff was like’ wow, what does that remind me of?’ Not a connoisseur’s drink by any means but, a nice lager for relaxing with. The taste is reminiscent of the honduran beer and there are some strong flavours of seaside coming through. Quite a watery drink and very sweet, would be better colder and on a hot day. Not amazing but it’s a taste of Brazil, and I love Brazil.
