1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle from TWM Sterling - pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Aroma is faintly citrus. Taste is faintly bitter. Palate is brightly rocky, like mineral water. At times both oilly and bone dry. pass.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle from total wine. Pours pale and yellow with very little foam. Weird note on the nose almost like corn oil. Theres a slickness to the mouth feel. Tastes a bit like dill pickle juice. Typical example of a weak style. Refreshing only if your 17.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Pershore Road, Birmingham. Pleasantly surprised by the appearance - this poured a nice shade of golden yellow with a very decent head for a pale lager, that stuck around for the duration. The head contributed to a decent mouthfeel - slightly creamy to begin with, quite smooth and crisp and not hampered by excessive carbonation. Only the faintest of aromas - very slight yeast, barely noticeable. The flavour is mild, lacking bitterness but also avoids that artificially sweet skunkiness that blights so many beers of this style. But which style? I found this more in keeping with a pilsner than a pale lager - albeit a second division pilsner. Not what I expected at all.

1.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Poured from bottle. Poured a golden amber colour with no head and went flat very quickly - it was flat before I’d drunk about a third of a glass. No aroma to speak of. Taste a trace sweet and tangy on the tongue but overall bland. Light body (watery).

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Clear light golden color with a decent long-lasting head and dappled lace. Not a bad presentation. Too bad the taste is from "Industrial 101." Adjunct grain (probably corn) converts this to a drinkable Bud Light. Some of the odd sweet and slight bitter finish that characterizes all the national brands. No problem to drink....but why?

This one is perfectly fine, but nothing remarkable. It’s Miller Lite-ish, but nothing remarkable. Meh.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
April 2007: Brown 355ml bottle, 4.5% Vol.
Poured into a 0.2 litre Veltins tulip glass.
Well what can I say?
Tastes and smells like a crap lager shandy (a Bud and 7up mix).
The worst beer I have had for a long time. Not even a hot summers day, would I drink this again.
