Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Gold, lasting beige head. Bit of butter on aroma. Some hop, good condition. Not keen though, dull in mouth, earthy hop finish. Nothing wrong with it, but just lacks chutzpah.

Cask, The Harp, London. Honey sweetness with a slight nuttiness with a vaguely chemical undertone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

from a cask at The Harp in London. Pours as a red golden ale. Thick and creamy malt taste. Little to no head and subtle nose at a indiscriminate level.

Cask; deep golden colour, thin bubbly head; smooth, malty, tangy citrus fruit taste; a little toffee and banana wheat beeriness in there too; gentle hoppy bitterness on the finish; very quaffable *pictures a warm summer evening outside the Anchor at Seatown*.

Some light grains in the taste. But the aroma’s very boring. At least it’s clean. Barely adequate, needs a bit more of everything.

Handpull at The Harp (Chandos). Clear gold, lasting creamy/frothy off-white head. Simple aroma - heather, grass, wheat gluten - taste adds like slightly unripe strawberry. Light, chewy mouthfeel, airy but not all that carbonated, finishes quick and dry. A nice drinker, makes few demands.

Bottled. Amber colour (quite deep for a golden ale.) Banana aroma, which is also noticeable in the sweetish flavours. A very slightly thin and acidic finish, but this doesn’t stop this being very enjoyable ale.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2012 Bottled. A golden orange coloured beer with an off-white pool of head. A bit of sweet toffee throughout. A little chewy. Reasonable hops. A beer that has a decent range of flavours, but is a bit dull in its ingredients. Score 3.1
